Registration is now open for the spring 2023 MACTE conference at the Courtyard by Marriott in Columbia, Missouri on March 2-3, 2023 (Th-F)!
We are excited to meet in person this spring and hope to see you in Columbia for two days of learning and sharing with your colleagues. See the conference webpage for information about our sessions, registration options, format, keynote, accommodations, and multiple ways you can participate. Note that this will be our only face-to-face conference for 2023; MACTE’s fall conference will be virtual. The theme for the spring conference is Change the Narrative: Elevate the Profession.
The conference will run from 9 AM Thursday 3/2/23 until 1 PM Friday 3/3/23, with meals provided on site for registered participants, including our Thursday night banquet and Friday morning MACTE breakfast meeting. The Thursday evening banquet / keynote will be a great opportunity to gather and collaborate with your peers from across the state as we also celebrate our MACTE 2023 Outstanding Beginning Teachers. Friday morning we will host the MACTE breakfast meeting to update the membership on current business and to recognize several categories of outstanding achievements in Missouri education during the awards ceremony. You won’t want to miss our annual raffle that will take place during the breakfast and dinner events as well.
General sessions will include:
- MACTE business meeting
- Deans / unit leaders meeting
- Certification officers and field / clinical directors meeting
- Community college meeting
- Legislative / advocacy session
As you prepare to join us in Columbia, please also consider presenting at the conference. Your expertise and innovation are what make our conference great! Follow this link to the Call for Proposals form, where we are currently accepting proposals for in-person conference sessions; follow this link to the Poster Proposal form as we welcome the return of our poster session. The deadline to submit all proposals is Friday 1/13/23. We look forward to a wide variety of impactful, innovative presentations.
A full conference agenda will be posted in early February. In the meantime, please submit a session / poster proposal by F 1/13, and encourage your colleagues, students, and PK-12 partners to do so as well!
HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Hotel reservations are made separately by contacting Courtyard by Marriott. To receive the conference room rate, use this link to book your hotel room. Hotel rooms must be reserved by February 1, 2023 to guarantee the preferred MACTE rate. Important note: Multiple events will be taking place in Columbia during the time of our conference, so be sure to book your room early to guarantee your lodging.
