We want to make you aware of some new opportunities for Coronavirus Relief Funding for individuals seeking substitute teacher certification. Details are described in the attached memo. Please note the very short deadline of November 4, 2020.
If your program requires sub certificates at any phase for your candidates, this funding could make the application more affordable to them through reimbursement of fees related to substitute certification. If you know of candidates and/or district partners who would benefit, please direct them to the online application or DESE’s Substitute Teachers webpage (both linked in the memo here) https://dese.mo.gov/sites/default/files/am/documents/EQ-20-003.pdf.
